The 'Animal' Roars at Box Office, Ranbir Kapoor Gets Highest Opening of His Career

Ranbir Kapoor Starrer 'Animal' Starts Thunderous On Opening Day:

The star-studded cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in the movie 'Animal' is causing a sensation at the box office. With a grand release across India, the film has garnered immense support from an enthusiastic fan base, contributing significantly to the buzz surrounding it. This heightened excitement is expected to translate into impressive opening day collections, with industry tracker site Sacnilk.com predicting a global opening exceeding Rs. 100 crore.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, 'Animal' has already achieved a remarkable feat by recording one of the highest pre-sales in the history of Hindi cinema. The movie secured the fifth spot on the all-time list of biggest openers, trailing behind only 'Baahubali 2,' 'Jawan,' 'Pathaan,' and 'KGF: Chapter 2,' having sold an impressive 5 lakh tickets before its official release.

Ranbir Kapoor's previous film, 'Brahmastra,' raked in Rs. 36 crore on its opening day in India. Notably, 'Sanju' collected Rs. 34 crore on its opening day, becoming one of his biggest hits with a worldwide gross of Rs. 600 crore. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared early estimates for 'Animal,' stating, "From urban centers to mass pockets, from multiplexes to single screens, from Tier-1 to Tier-2 and Tier-3 centers, from East to West and from North to South, it’s Animal mania all across."

In an interview with iDreamMedia, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that 'Animal' is anticipated to generate Rs. 50 crore from Hindi language collections alone and is poised to gross nearly Rs. 350 crore worldwide in its opening weekend.

'Animal' marks Vanga's return to Bollywood direction five years after the controversial 'Kabir Singh,' a remake of his Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy,' which grossed Rs. 400 crore worldwide. Despite the film's divisive reception due to controversy surrounding 'toxic masculinity' and 'violence glorification,' Vanga has promised an even more intense and violent cinematic experience with 'Animal.'
