Shah Rukh Khan Wasn't First Choice of These Blockbusters...

Star Power Shuffle: Salman's Rejected Hits that Became SRK's Triumphs in Bollywood:

Salman Khan, a powerhouse in the Indian film industry, commands an unparalleled fan following, with audiences eagerly anticipating his every cinematic endeavor. The fervor of fans, marked by exuberant cheers and the spectacle of Salman's dance moves or intense on-screen actions, attests to his undeniable stardom. Yet, within the realm of Bollywood, according to some sources there exist a few significant projects that Salman turned down in the past, subsequently becoming part of Shah Rukh Khan's repertoire. Let's delve into these instances:

1. Chak De India:

The iconic movie "Chak De India," known for Shah Rukh Khan's memorable '70-minute' speech, had Salman Khan as its original choice. Salman, however, opted out due to a disagreement with the film's climax. Reflecting on this decision, Salman mentioned, "Adi (producer Aditya Chopra) had told me, ‘I will make it the biggest hit and you don’t know what you are missing out on.’ I was fortunate 'Partner' did well." SRK stepped in, turning Bhai's loss into his gain.

2. Baazigar:

Surprisingly, Shah Rukh Khan wasn't the initial pick for the lead role in the super hit "Baazigar." Abbas-Mustan had envisioned Salman Khan in the role, but he declined. Salman, expressing no regret, revealed, "I refused the film, and he signed it, so it's fair." The intriguing twist in the story, involving a negative character and a mother's angle, led to SRK's eventual involvement.

3. DDLJ:

Rumors circulate that the makers initially struggled to secure Shah Rukh Khan for "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge." Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan were purported contenders. However, fate had other plans, and SRK ascended to become the 'king of romance' with this timeless classic.

4. Josh:

The role played by Shah Rukh Khan in "Josh" was initially offered to Salman Khan. Salman declined, and the role eventually went to Aamir Khan before finally landing in the hands of SRK. The on-screen chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai captivated audiences, making it a memorable cinematic experience.
