BCCI Announces India's Squad For WI Tour: Samson Made Comeback, Jaiswal And Mukesh Kumar Get Call-Ups

 The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared the Indian cricket team squad for the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) and Test tour of West Indies. The team will be led by Rohit Sharma, and there is some exciting news as Sanju Samson returns to the team. Let's take a closer look at the squad and the key players.

India's Test stalwart Cheteshwar Pujara has been dropped While Ajinkya Rahane, who made a comeback to the Test team for the World Test Championship final, has been named the vice-captain, while Navdeep Saini is also back in the squad. While Sanju Samson and Jaydev Unadkat have been included in the 50-over squad of the Indian team.



“The Men’s Selection Committee has picked India’s squad for the upcoming two-match Test series and three ODIs against the West Indies. India are also scheduled to play five T20Is and the squad for the same will be announced later,” BCCI said in a release.

Jaiswal had a great IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals and he was on the selector's radar after scoring 625 runs at a strike rate of 163. The Mumbai cricketer holds an average of 80.21 in 15 matches with 9 centuries and a highest score of 265.
